Making pet insurance claims faster and easier than ever, the new GapOnly™ service calculates your claim while you’re still at your vet’s practice, so you only pay the gap (the difference between the total of your vet’s invoice and the claim benefits under their policy).
It means less to pay upfront, because you know exactly how much will be covered straight away, and you don’t have to wait for your claim to be paid after you leave the vet’s practice. Plus, no paperwork!
Here’s how to claim with GapOnly™
Check with your vet’s reception team that GapOnly™ is enabled for your policy.
Let them know you’d like to submit a GapOnly™ claim for your pet’s treatment.
The reception team will forward the claim to your insurer and they’ll assess it within 10 minutes.
Once the claim’s been assessed and approved, all you need to do is pay the gap to your vet.
GapOnly™ claims can be submitted from Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm (AEDT), and on Saturday, 9am to 5pm (AEDT).
There might be times when GapOnly™ isn’t available because:
- Your appointment is outside of GapOnly™’s operating hours,
- Your insurer isn’t enabled with GapOnly™ yet, or
- You don’t want to wait at your vet practice while the claim’s assessed.
If that’s the case, just settle your invoice for the full amount and ask the reception team to submit an eClaim on your behalf instead.
They can submit the claim on the spot and there’s no extra paperwork to complete. Most eClaims are processed within three business days and once accepted, you’ll receive your claim benefits within a week.
